Ripcaged – Nichole Riggs

ASTRID’S landscape
curves like a ripcage

her desiccation vibrates
into anti-gluttonous
mac-ewe-ler degenerative
eyeholes

……………………….women
tend skin-ridden burros
shepherdhesses
live off ever-shriveling
breasts

land, the fat of the

reap, sew themselves into

the snow engulfing
rages on for purity,
batters them all
with dazzling

godliness, the dirt-slush antithesis
godliness, cleanliness is positioned on
………………………..the adjacent rock to

the shepherdesses swarm into
nose-caverns in their lowly skirts
Astrid scents them
Astrid is immobile
Astrid is: my rough peasant’s body digs in you
