Quaint is thrilled to announce our nominations for Sundress Publications’ Best of the Net 2015 Anthology.
Best of the Net is an annual anthology edited by Erin Elizabeth Smith, Darren C. Demarree, and T.A. Noonan that seeks to acknowledge and promote exceptional work from a diverse range of voices that has been published online.
Our selection was based on Sundress’ timeline, meaning work was only eligible if it had been published on the Internet between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015. For us, this meant work that had appeared in Quaint Issue 3, or Quaint Issue 4.
It was a difficult decision to make, with such strong work in each issue, but ultimately the following works stood out for their finely crafted syntax, stunning use of language, and thought-provoking subject matter.
Without further ado, our nominations are:
- Regarding My Grade School Boyfriend by Jessie Strauss
- How We Made Love by Becca Shaw Glaser
- Daddy’s Friend Stan by Alexis Rhone Fancher
- Off Label by Jill Khoury
- Sonnet 15 by Nikki Wallschlaeger
- Etymology of the Body by Karissa Morton
