Quaint is thrilled to announce our presence at the Association of Writers and Writing Programs conference, taking place in Minneapolis from April 8th to 11th of 2015. In addition to having a table at the book fair, which we’ll be sharing with the kickass folks from Instar Books (where you’ll be able to buy digital editions of all of Instar’s awesome titles, as well as hard copies of Quaint Issue 4, and some awesome Quaint swag), we’re also throwing a party. Because we like literature, booze, and dancing. And we figure you probably do, too.
The Quaint Issue 4 reading and launch party will take place at Madame of the Arts (location to be revealed closer to the date–shh, it’s a secret!) on Friday, April 10th, from 7.30pm until whenever your feet start to bleed. Featuring readings from the likes of Julie Brooks Barbour, Alicia Catt, Kelly Harwood, Sara Leavens, Mary King, Jean Ho, Vanessa Borjon, Janice Sapigao, Jennifer Hanks, Sarah Xerta, Jill Khoury, Jade Hurter, Clare Harmon, Hannah Baggott and more, we can 100% promise you that there’s nothing you’d rather be doing on Friday night. Afterwards, we’ll be breaking it down with a couple of DJ sets from local Minneapolis DJs and possibly Kia, if she decides to slip back to 2010/can remember how to use decks again.
We’ll have Quaint swag on sale, including the t-shirts we had up for grabs during the Kickstarter (Vile Misandrist Harpy, anyone?), as well as the frankly stunning hard copy edition of Issue 4. So if you’re feeling a night of drinking and merriment in a queer-friendly, woman-friendly space (no bros allowed, sorry not sorry), with a line-up of excellent readers who will challenge, unnerve, and move you, you know what you must do.
To RSVP to Quaint’s official launch party, please see the Facebook event page. We are super, super, super excited to meet you all!
