Since founding Quaint in the winter of 2013, we’ve been able to publish some truly stunning, compelling work from writers and artists all over the world. We’ve published across a variety of different digital formats: on our website, in a beautifully designed pdf, and in various ebook formats (available through Amazon, Smashwords, Scribd, and other such sites).

In November, we’ll be turning one year old, and we wanted to celebrate! For our fourth issue, Quaint will be publishing in print for the first time. Excerpts of #4 will be available online, as always, but the book will feature exclusive content (think of it as a director’s cut, or extended edition), reprinted material from issues 1 – 3, and a beautiful full-color cover image. Professionally bound, in A5 format, Issue 4 will launch at the AWP conference, March 2015 in Minneapolis.

Issue 4 is going to be an absolute blast! Kick-ass poet, Time contributor, and Quaint Issue CNF writer Eunsong Kim will be guest editing poetry, and the amazing Lambda nominated author Jeanne Thornton (The Dream of Doctor Bantam, The Black Emerald) will be guest editing fiction. We are so incredibly excited to be working with these awesome ladies!

In order to raise costs for printing, distribution, paying contributors, and other costs associated with running and producing Quaint, we’ve set up a Kickstarter campaign, which you can view here. We’ve been fully transparent about our cost breakdown so you can see where all the money is going, and anything over and above that we raise will go straight back into the magazine: printing further issues, paying contributors, and so on.

We’ve got some awesome rewards including copies of the print issue, digital copies of back-issues, stickers, and manuscript workshops! We’ll be adding weekly extras for stretch-goals, and all manner of other excitement! So please, if you can, pledge $2 or more and help support transwomen, ciswomen, and non-binary writers.

Quaint loves you! Love us back!
